Chapel Awarded Electrical for new Middletown Regional Hospital

Middletown Regional Hospital will be one component of a new medical and technology campus. The campus will incorporate trees, a pond and walking trails to create a healing, soothing environment.

  • Square footage: approximately 750,000 total square feet (hospital, medical and administrative offices)
  • Location: Middletown, Ohio
  • Construction cost: approximately $195 million
  • Number of beds: 225 - 250 (first phase)
  • Number of acres: nearly 70 acres for hospital buildings; approximately 190 acres for total campus
  • Number of construction jobs: up to 600 construction-related jobs expected at the height of construction
  • Anticipated patient volume: 370,000 by 2012 (nearly a 33 percent increase over the hospital's 2004 yearly volume)

Construction Webcam

The Middletown Regional Hospital construction webcam takes live photos of the construction progress every 10 to 20 minutes. The camera is located along Union Road on the west side of the construction site and captures images of the front of the new hospital, including the main entrance.

Chapel Electric, Newest Member of the ELECTRI'21 COUNCIL

Joining at the $100,000 Founder-level, Chapel Electric Co of Dayton, Ohio is the newest member of the ELECTRI'21 COUNCIL.

Chapel Electric Company was founded in 1946 with its primary focus on the Dayton, Ohio industrial, commercial and institutional market segments. Chapel has participated in all of the major landmark projects in the Dayton area including the recent Schuster Performing Arts Center. Since 1989, Chapel has established its reputation on the national market as a premier healthcare electrical contractor with pre-construction capabilities. The company has completed more than ten major state-of-the-art replacement hospitals and has begun to take on jobs in the Paper Press Market.
